Agency for Volunteer Service launched The First Hong Kong Volunteer Award in 2005. The Award is a biennial event not only to raise public awareness of the value of volunteering, but also to facilitate the development of sustainable volunteerism in Hong Kong.
The Award will not only commend individuals but also volunteer groups. On top of this, there will be a Corporate Award to recognize an outstanding business corporation for its distinguished contributions and accomplishments in promoting volunteering.
